What does plant protection really mean to us?

When people talk about plant protection in the vineyard, the conversation usually focuses on the products being used. For us, however, the most important question is a different one:

Are they being applied correctly?

At Kokkinos Winery in Naoussa, we carried out a spray quality assessment using water-sensitive papers placed throughout different parts of the vine canopy. This allows us to evaluate whether the sprayer is properly calibrated and whether the spray reaches the entire canopy, not just the outer leaves.

By doing so, we can identify potential issues related to travel speed, pressure, nozzle performance or spray volume, allowing us to optimize every application.

We work exclusively with biological crop protection products, aiming to achieve maximum vineyard protection through uniform coverage, minimal waste and the lowest possible environmental impact. Because effective plant protection is built on measurement, observation and continuous evaluation.

Therefore it’s not enough to spray. You have to spray correctly.
