An impressive moment for the vines has arrived!

The veraison (a French term pronounced ver-Ray-zon) is one of the most important stages, since it marks the beginning of ripening.

During this stage:

▪️the sugar content increases

▪️the acidic content decreases

▪️the swelling and softening of the grapes begin

▪️the grapes acquire their final color, depending on the variety

Fact: The wisdom of the vine!

At the stage of veraison, the pits of the grapes acquire the ability to germinate. Consequently as the grapes sweeten and become attractive to the birds, they disperse their seeds, causing the vine to naturally multiply around the world!
